Babel MS 28
No section of text from this manuscript is presently known but we can surmise something of its character from the two fragments that do survive. Each is a strip the width of the bottom margin and the ruling visible shows that the layout was bicolumnar. Each fragment also includes marginalia, in a script with anglicana 'r', and written in plummet: the topics noted by this reader -- the punishment for theft, and an aspect of inheritance -- reveal that this must have been a legal manuscript.
(width x 3/2) = 282mm (h) x 188mm (w)
History and further information
The nature of the surviving fragments suggests the binder consciously chose to use sections with the least text possible.
