Mainz: Franz Behem ('apud Franciscum Behem'), 1556
The dark leather over the pasteboards is rather worn, but the centrepiece is identifiable as a variant of Pearson, Oxford, xix but has no background lines so is definably not that version used in Oxford or in Cambridge. Evidence of green cloth ties. Title painted on fore-edge: 'Ferus in eccles'.
- 'Knight': name written twice on the pasteboard of the lower board.
- Richard Bancroft (1544-1610), archbishop of Canterbury, 1604-10: based on the presence of a tab, presumably from Babel MS 18.
- Samuel Harsnett (1561–1631), archbishop of York, 1629–31.
