- Matthew Parker (1503-75), archbishop of Canterbury (1559-75): his red crayon at top of lower pastedown: ‘cereus nasus 33’ (referring to last line of fol. 33, which he also underlines); also his marginalia in pen with maniculae throughout the volume and at verso of back flyleaf (with thanks to Prof. Alexandra Gillespie and Dr Laura Mitchell for help in the identification)
